You can submit your prompts via Web or SMS before and during show.

    When texting, to prevent spam you must sent the SHOWCODE with each message.

    Example for if the SHOWCODE is “MM”, text “MM banana” to suggest banana.

Archiving as Art

After the performance, all ideas, poems, and reading scores will be published. 50% of any revenues will be donated to Wheat City Nuit Blanche / AGSM to continue to support arts in Brandon, MB.

Additional Technical Notes

  • Show Access: Each performance has a unique, time-limited access code that allows audience participation. For SMS, all messages must contact showcode as a prefix.

  • Performance Duration: Audience will have access to submit their prompts approximately 10 minutes before showtime and throughout the performance. .

  • Audience Input Pipeline: Audience responses are collected anonymously via both web form and SMS. All incoming data is submitted into a central queue.

  • Audience Idea Selection: A script randomly selects and combines between 1 to 4 audience inputs at random.

  • Dynamic Choral Reading Recitation: When the poem writing is complete, a computer script is run to analyze the poem text to label the rhymes and structure of the poem. When in random mode, there is a chance based mechanic that determines the number of speakers, the number of actions, the number of reading instructions, and the types of variations such as elongation of words. There are also special modes where the poem text will translate d into vowels-only, consonants-only, and a mirrored poem recitation. More details available upon request.

  • Data Handling:

    • All responses, poetry text, and choral reading scores are stored securely in a private Google Cloud Storage bucket.

    • No user-identifying information is stored; data remains anonymous.

  • Post-Show Cleanup: After each performance concludes, all relevant Redis queues are purged to reset the system for the next show and maintain data hygiene.
